Pull Apart Chrysanthemum Pizza

Writer's picture: dinosaurmadedinosaurmade

I saw this on Pinterest and was intrigued. It ended up being much easier than I thought. It took less than a half hour after the dough was ready.

Directions

After the dough has doubled in size, punch it down, knead it a few times, and it's ready to go.

Stretch out/roll the dough to a normal pizza dough thickness - about 1/8 of an inch

Using a circle (you can use a cookie cutter, drinking glass, I used a mason jar lid, etc.) cut out circles.

In my 8" round pie pan I used 22 circles.

Place a pepperoni (or pre-cooked pizza meat of your choice) in the middle of the dough circle

Add some mozzarela

Fold in half and pinch around the edges

Fold in half again and pinch the two ends together. This is your finished petal

Make sure you apply a cooking spray to the bottom of the pan before you start laying in the petals

Starting from the outside, working in, create your flower

Finished flower.

Brush a beated egg over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 30-40 min (Mine baked for 35)

Enjoy as is, or with a marinara dipper
